Long queues were caused at entry and exit points when manual ticketing system was in place. Security had no choice but to allow vehicles to get through for free by lifting the barrier. Accurate accounting was impossible Solution and Benefits: Traffic flow improved tremendously. The time spent for a vehicle to get through improved from a previously fastest time of 35 sec to the current average of 2 sec per car under the new system. The site is under video surveillance and drivers who need assistance can get help by using the audio intercom. Parking collection is automatically credited into designated accounts on a daily basis. This slows down the traffic and it is difficult to analyse the traffic and search for information. Solution and Benefits: Semi-EPS automatically captures the car's unique identity number. LPR automatically captures the vehicle's licence plate number and matches it with the database. This increases security, gives better and accurate vehicle details and movement status while drivers will have an improved experience with a much shorter waiting time.
